The Story

Hill Section Films gets its name from a real place in Scranton’s historic Hill Section. It's a blue collar neighborhood perched above the valley, where creativity and resilience have always gone hand-in-hand.
It was there, in cramped row homes and repurposed basements, that the team learned what it meant to build something from the ground up.

The company became a reflection of that environment: raw, honest, unpolished, but undeniably human.

From day one, Hill Section Films wasn’t about chasing trends, it was about telling the kind of stories that hit you in the chest. The stories about everyday people pushed to their limits, about loyalty and sacrifice, and about what it means to stand your ground.
The early projects, from the Touched by Darkness documentary film to working with veteran foundations like the SEAL Future Foundation and 300 Justice Road, carried the same heartbeat: integrity, craftsmanship, and community.

What started as a few friends with a camera turned into a creative force that bridges the film world, the military community, and America’s working class all under one flag.
Hill Section Films stands as proof that cinematic excellence doesn’t come from studios or big budgets.
It comes from people who refuse to quit.
